To achieve the best results follow these recommended techniques.
 | TECHNIQUE |
a) Check present denture for proper centric relationship, vertical, peripheral seal, postdam and lack of cuspal interference.
|   |
b) Remove undercuts and relieve denture to eliminate pressure areas.
c) Coat denture with Masque to prevent Softone from adhering to undesirable portions of the denture.
|   |
d) Mix Softone for one minute.
|   |
e) Pour evenly where needed into denture, cover surface completely.
f) In 2-3 minutes the mix will be sluggish and barely flows.
|   |
g) Insert the denture in the same manner as taking an impression.
h) Have patient gently close with light but firm pressure to align occlusion.
i) After another 3 to 4 minutes, muscle trim.
j) Remove and trim excess.
 | SPECIAL |
If there is an area of pressure or muscle interference, relieve by adding just enough Softone to cover, reinsert in the patients mouth. Repeat previous step.
Repeat the treatment process in 3 to 7 days until the tissue response becomes finalized. If no further change takes place, final reline with Truliner for corrective permanent hard reline or Trusoft as intermediatory reliner.
If desired, utilize the functional impression technique. If the patient expresses complete comfort and the denture has maximum stability, add a thin mix evenly over the denture. Reinsert when Softone becomes sluggish.
 | CAUTION |
When relieving the labial of the upper denture, material should not cause denture to protrude.
Upper and lower dentures can be treated at the same appointment, but do each denture separately.
Be sure peripheral border is adequately covered..Softone will trim easier if chilled by cold water or by using a heated spatula.
