PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Aegis® Pit & Fissure Sealant is a light-cured sealant that contains the "smart material" Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP). In the oral environment, ACP slowly releases calcium and phosphate ions, the basic building blocks of teeth. In scientific testing, ACP has demonstrated the ability to re-mineralize tooth structure by enhancing the tooth's natural repair mechanism. The ACP filler is resilient and flexible, which creates a stronger and longer lasting sealant. Aegis® Pit & Fissure Sealant can be used with any light-curing device. Aegis®' controlled flowability keeps the sealant on the tooth while completely filling the pits and fissures. When properly placed and maintained, Aegis® Pit & Fissure Sealant can help keep children free from carious lesions on the occlusal surfaces.
